Appearing as a guest on the ELBC Super Morning Show on Monday, March 10, Senator Dillon pledged his unwavering support for the government’s decision to keep motorcyclists off the city’s main streets.
“The No-Go Zone instruction must hold. We must learn to be disciplined and law-abiding if we want to run this country with a proper system,” Dillon stated.
He argued that the policy aligns with the government’s broader effort to establish a structured system that promotes safety and harmony for all Liberians.
While acknowledging the pivotal role motorcyclists played in his 2019 and 2023 senatorial campaigns, Dillon maintained that public order and governance take precedence over political considerations.
“I may risk my political future by supporting this policy, but I cannot say the No-Go Zone instruction is wrong. As much as I appreciate the support motorcyclists gave me in 2019 and 2023, the country needs to function under a system. Therefore, I stand with the government’s decision,” he affirmed.
Senator Dillon’s stance underscores the government’s commitment to regulating transportation in Monrovia despite resistance from affected riders.
