According to PKF Liberia, Dr. Dzebu’s promotion is not only a personal achievement but also a strategic step in strengthening the firm’s leadership structure as it expands its audit, tax, advisory, and consulting services across Liberia and the wider West African region

MONROVIA – PKF Liberia has announced the admission and promotion of Dr. Mrs. Patience Adzo Dzebu as a Partner of the firm, marking a significant milestone in the organization’s leadership history and reinforcing its commitment to professional excellence, gender inclusion, and institutional growth.

The appointment, which officially took effect on April 6, 2026, follows what the firm described as more than two decades of consistent performance, technical expertise, and leadership in the fields of accounting, auditing, finance, and tax advisory services.

The announcement was jointly made by Managing Partner Mr. Nim’ne E. Mombo Sr., retired partner Prof. Ansu Sonii, and partner Mr. Steven Dindo Seimavula, who all described Dr. Dzebu’s elevation as a reflection of merit-based advancement within the firm.

According to PKF Liberia, Dr. Dzebu’s promotion is not only a personal achievement but also a strategic step in strengthening the firm’s leadership structure as it expands its audit, tax, advisory, and consulting services across Liberia and the wider West African region.

The firm noted that Dr. Dzebu joined PKF Liberia on March 3, 2014, as an Assistant Audit Manager and steadily rose through the ranks due to her performance, professionalism, and technical competence. She was promoted to Director on January 15, 2020, before being elevated to Partner in 2026.

Her elevation makes her the first female Partner in PKF Liberia’s leadership structure, a development the firm says reflects its evolving commitment to diversity and inclusion within the professional services sector.

Speaking on the appointment, Managing Partner Mr. Nim’ne E. Mombo Sr. praised Dr. Dzebu’s dedication and long-standing contribution to the firm’s growth.

“Dr. Dzebu has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership, technical excellence, and commitment to quality service delivery. Her elevation to Partner is a natural progression based on her outstanding performance over the years,” Mombo said.

He further noted that her appointment reflects PKF Liberia’s broader objective of strengthening its leadership capacity while maintaining global professional standards.

“PKF Liberia continues to invest in people who demonstrate integrity, expertise, and leadership. Dr. Dzebu embodies these values, and her promotion strengthens our ability to deliver world-class services,” he added.

Dr. Dzebu brings more than 25 years of professional experience spanning accounting, auditing, finance, and tax advisory. Her academic and professional journey has taken her through several institutions across Ghana and the United States, equipping her with a strong international perspective in financial management.

She earned a Higher National Diploma in Accounting from Cape Coast Polytechnic in Ghana in 2003, followed by a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Information Systems from Regent University of Science and Technology in Accra in 2005. She later obtained an MBA in Finance from Central University in 2013 and a Doctorate in Finance from Atlantic International University in 2019.

In addition to her academic achievements, Dr. Dzebu is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (ICAG) and holds memberships with the Chartered Institute of Taxation, Ghana (CITG), the Liberian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (LICPA), and the Liberian Institute of Tax Practitioners (LITP).

Beyond her professional career, she is also recognized as a counselor and motivational speaker, roles that PKF Liberia says complement her leadership style and people-centered approach to management.

In a statement following her appointment, Dr. Dzebu expressed appreciation for the trust placed in her and reaffirmed her commitment to the firm’s mission of excellence.

“This appointment is a profound honor. I remain committed to upholding the values of professionalism, integrity, and service excellence that PKF represents. I will continue working with my colleagues to strengthen our impact across Liberia and the region,” she said.

She added that leadership in the accounting profession requires continuous learning, ethical discipline, and a commitment to delivering value to clients and institutions.

“Professional services demand consistency, accuracy, and trust. My goal is to continue contributing to the growth of PKF Liberia while mentoring the next generation of professionals,” she stated.

PKF Liberia emphasized that her promotion aligns with the firm’s broader strategic vision of building a strong, diverse, and highly skilled leadership team capable of meeting growing client demands across sectors.

The firm further highlighted its affiliation with PKF Global, one of the world’s largest accounting networks, with global fee revenue estimated at US$2.3 billion in 2025, and operations spanning multiple regions including West Africa, Europe, and other international jurisdictions.

According to the firm, PKF Global member firms adhere to strict international standards of technical competence, independence, objectivity, confidentiality, and quality assurance, ensuring consistent delivery of high-level professional services.

PKF Liberia reaffirmed its commitment to excellence, innovation, and leadership development as it continues to expand its footprint in Liberia’s financial and advisory services sector.

The elevation of Dr. Patience Adzo Dzebu, the firm said, represents both a personal achievement and a broader institutional milestone in its ongoing journey of professional transformation.
