PETALING JAYA, Malaysia — Eight top journalists from seven West African countries have toured QNET’s global corporate headquarters in Malaysia, gaining firsthand access to the company’s operations, products and business model as part of an initiative aimed at promoting transparency and addressing misconceptions about the direct-selling company.
The journalists, representing Liberia, Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Senegal, Togo and Benin, toured the company’s offices at the 15-story QI Tower in Petaling Jaya on Friday, Sept. 11.
Since 2022, QNET has opened its headquarters to African media practitioners, providing access to its facilities and executives as part of efforts to counter claims in parts of West Africa that the company has no physical operations. More than 50 African journalists have visited the headquarters under the initiative.
During the latest engagement, company officials delivered presentations on QNET’s business model, operational structure, products and social-impact initiatives. They also sought to distinguish the company’s legitimate direct-selling operations from fraudulent activities allegedly carried out by individuals misusing the QNET name.
The journalists were subsequently taken on a guided tour of the headquarters, where staff explained and demonstrated a range of QNET lifestyle, wellness and technology products. The visit allowed the delegation to see and interact with the products while gaining a broader understanding of the company’s corporate structure and activities.
The QI Tower has an estimated net floor area of about 103,000 square feet and includes corporate offices, conference facilities and dedicated spaces where visitors can interact with QNET products.
In 2013, the building became Malaysia’s first existing high-rise office building to receive the Green Mark Gold award from Singapore’s Building and Construction Authority, according to information provided during the tour.
Journalists also received samples of selected QNET products for personal use and independent assessment.
The media engagement is expected to continue in Penang, where the journalists will attend V-CON 2026, QNET’s signature international gathering. The event is expected to bring together thousands of the company’s independent distributors from around the world for networking, training, business discussions and experience-sharing.
The visit forms part of QNET’s broader media engagement strategy, which the company says is intended to provide journalists with direct access to its operations and enable them to independently assess claims and information surrounding its business.
