PEDEBO, Maryland County — Finance and Development Planning Minister Augustine Kpehe Ngafuan has highlighted the contribution of young Liberians trained at William V.S. Tubman University to the country’s infrastructure development.
Speaking during a Sunday visit to the Pedebo International Border today, Minister Ngafuan discovered that several young people involved in the ongoing Cavalla River Bridge Project are either graduates or current students of Tubman University.
The discovery prompted the Minister to commend TU President Dr. Olu Q. Menjay and the university’s leadership for helping prepare young Liberians with practical knowledge and skills that are now being applied to national development projects.
Minister Ngafuan described the involvement of TU-trained young people in the bridge project as “a great step,” stressing the importance of investing in education that enables young Liberians to actively participate in the country’s transformation.
The development comes as Tubman University prepares to mark its 17th anniversary in Harper, where Minister Ngafuan will serve as keynote speaker on Monday, September 14, 2026.
