The timing is his own; the message is quite deliberate. He casts the color as hope, energy, warmth and reason. Critics may read branding where he writes philosophy. Yet potent symbols move voters when dry arguments tire. The letter reaches back to Saclepea, his political home. It resurfaces as alignments shift ahead of future contests. Musa Hassan Bility has reposted an open letter first issued in June 2025, reasserting the symbolism his movement attaches to the color yellow. Announcing the repost, Bility said one must always remember the reason behind it all.

The letter, presented as a “Letter from Saclepea” and titled “Why We Choose Yellow: The Color of Light, Life, and Limitless Possibilities,” argues that yellow is more than a color. According to Bility, it is a declaration, a state of mind and a direction of vision, chosen not merely for its beauty but for what it awakens, what it says about his people and the energy it ignites around them.

Happiness And Joy

Bility wrote that yellow is the color of laughter, of childhood smiles and of sunlit mornings, evoking spontaneous joy and heartfelt amusement. To choose yellow, he argued, is to choose to see life through the lens of possibility, to embrace the moments that make the spirit dance, and never to lose the magic of wonder, leading with happiness even in the face of hardship.

Optimism And Energy

Like a burst of sunshine on a weary day, Bility continued, yellow is the embodiment of positivity and resilience. He described it as the courage to believe that things can be better and that tomorrow can be brighter than today, the energy of a new beginning, the rush of fresh ideas and the unshakable conviction that the best days are still ahead.

Warmth And Light

Yellow, Bility wrote, mirrors the warmth of the sun, the very source of life itself. He said it reminds his movement to be light-bearers, to bring warmth to cold places, comfort to the weary and hope to the hopeless. In a time when the world can feel cold and divided, he added, yellow is the color that tells people they are welcome, seen and loved.

Intellect And Communication

Beneath its cheerful surface, Bility argued, yellow also speaks to the mind, representing clarity, intelligence and curiosity while inspiring thought, analysis and reason. Those who think in yellow, he wrote, are dreamers with discipline, visionaries with strategy and leaders with purpose, drawn to a mind that questions, learns and innovates.

The color is also one of communication, according to Bility, a color that speaks, shares and expresses, sparking new ideas and opening doors to dialogue. He described it as the color of a voice that refuses to be quieted and of a message that burns with truth, urgency and passion, a way of speaking meant to be understood, to inspire and to connect.

The movement chooses yellow, Bility concluded, because it mirrors the essence of its journey: bold, bright, fearless and full of life. He called it a symbol of the future his movement dares to imagine, one in which happiness is a right rather than a privilege, ideas are shared rather than silenced, and every person walks in the light of purpose.

He closed the letter with a declaration on the meaning his movement reads into the color:

“In yellow, we see tomorrow. In yellow, we find strength. In yellow, we choose life.”
