Joejoe Boakai Launches SPARK -Pledges Technology, Digital Literacy

MONROVIA – Charity launched from the President’s household carries a weight ordinary charity does not. Joseph Boakai Jr., the President’s son, now steps into that space with SPARK Liberia. His foundation and the Angel Care Foundation will distribute blankets to newborn babies across Liberia. The gesture is modest, and he calls it only the beginning. The larger promise is technology access, digital literacy and growth for young Liberians. That is ambitious terrain in a country where young people far outnumber opportunities. Proximity to power will draw goodwill and doubt. Supporters will expect national reach, while skeptics will watch the line between charity and influence. As THE ANALYST reports, the Royal Grand Hotel launch opens that test.

The son of Liberia’s President, who is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of SPARK Liberia, Joseph Boakai Jr. (known as Joejoe), has disclosed the official launch of his foundation’s latest humanitarian initiative in partnership with the Angel Care Foundation.

In a statement released recently, Boakai Jr. said the two foundations will host a joint launch event to announce a blanket distribution initiative targeting newborn babies across Liberia.

\n

The launch event is scheduled for Sunday, October 26, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Royal Grand Hotel in Sinkor, Monrovia. According to Boakai Jr., the blanket distribution is just the beginning of a broader mission to help and assist vulnerable citizens across the country.

Vision For Liberian Youth

According to him, the occasion will also serve as a platform to share his long-term vision for SPARK Liberia, an organization committed to making meaningful and lasting contributions to the development of Liberian youth.

He emphasized that SPARK Liberia will focus on expanding access to technology, promoting digital literacy, and creating opportunities for personal development and growth for young people.

\n

“This is the beginning of what I hope will be a meaningful and lasting contribution to our country,” Boakai Jr. stated.

\n

He extended an invitation to the media and the public to support the initiative as SPARK Liberia embarks on its journey to impact lives. The event is expected to bring together humanitarian partners, youth leaders, and well-wishers.
