Mr. Kamara’s extraordinary ICT/ Telecom performance attracted former President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf to accommodate him in the government to the position as Commissioner for Service Development and Markets at the Liberia Telecommunication Authority (LTA), which he diligently served from June 2009- September 2013.

The department the ICT/ Telecom Veteran worked with provided oversight, which included the following:  responsible for issuing Licenses to Mobile operators and Service Providers, ISPs, TV & Radio stations, and other telecommunications service providers. This distinguished ICT expert and Acting Chairman of LTA, has been proactively working to constructively transform Liberia’s digital industry. Kamara’s enviable initiatives include fostering digital literacy, enhancing internet accessibility, and promoting innovation among young people who constitute 70 percent of Liberia’s population.
