LPRA boss Madame Logan
MONROVIA, May 18, 2026 — The Board of Directors of the Liberia Petroleum Regulatory Authority (LPRA) has congratulated Director General Marilyn T. Logan following her selection as a member of the fifth cohort of Amujae Leaders by the Ellen Johnson Sirleaf Presidential Center for Women and Development.
In a statement, the Board described the Amujae Initiative as one of Africa’s most competitive leadership platforms, noting that Logan’s selection places her among women leaders recognized for their achievements and future potential.
The Board emphasized that Logan’s recognition reflects the leadership she has brought to the Authority, including the conclusion of Liberia’s first major petroleum agreement in over a decade.
According to the Board, this agreement has helped restore investor confidence and reposition Liberia as a destination for frontier petroleum exploration. The Board also highlighted that Logan, as the first woman to lead the LPRA, has capably overseen one of the country’s most technically demanding sectors.
Logan now joins a network of 70 women leaders from 29 African countries. The LPRA Board expressed confidence that this connection will further strengthen her capacity to advance the Authority’s mandate and expand its visibility and partnerships across Africa and beyond.
The Board concluded that Logan’s selection is a significant recognition for both her leadership and Liberia’s energy sector.
