Students of Aware International School System, an Indian run institution, have displayed their creative writing skills–culminating into their first work being published in a book titled “Voices of the Future.”
Voices of the future is a compelling anthology featuring five beautifully written short stories that explore children’s adventure and imagination in a memorable and heartwarming collection.
Authored by child writers aged 8 to 16. The students worked with Ms. Olamibo Balogun, a season writer to develop all of the story stories included in the book, which was launched over the weekend, at a special event organized by the school’s administration.
The book launch took place at the school campus, on the GSA Road in Paynesville. The launch saw several readings from some of the writers featured in the five anthologies, that include
Sojourners: Footprints of Young Dreamers; Aurora: Echoes of Young Dreamers; Ink Whispers: Voices through the pages; Starlight: Anthology of big dreamers, and An Anthology of Dreams: Journey, and Golden Tears.
Highlighting on each of the five anthologies, Ms. Balogun said, anthology on footprints of young dreamers is a beautiful collection from the young writers.
“An amazing showcase of imagination and creativity,” she boosted the kids’ creativity.
According to her, these stories are engaging, heartwarming and encouraging, emphasizing “without doubt, every reader will find a piece of themselves within these pages. It is enjoyable, inspiring and will leave a lasting impression.”
In the book Aurora, she indicated that it showcases the brilliance and creativity of young learners, capturing their unique voices and vibrant imagination.
“Through these pages the writers take us on a journey filled with giggles, fun and meaningful lessons that can be applied to everyday life. This is truly a must read for all,” she said.
For the Ink Whispers, she said, the book is a remarkable insight into the power of creative writing.
“It is a group of young learners who through their creativity have crafted a collection that is both relatable and inspiring, speaking to readers from all walks of life,” she added.
Starlight showcases a wide range of perspectives from those who dare to dream and become.
“The stories remind us that dreams can indeed come true through determination and hardwork,” Ms. Balogun said. “It is highly recommended for dreamers everywhere and it is a gentle reminder that every dream is achievable.”
An Anthology of Dreamers, Ms. Balogun informed her audience including parents that it is beautiful work that uplifts the reader’s spirit and inspires reflection
It speaks of growth, resilience and determination in the journey of life.
“Through the heartfelt voices of our young writers the horizon presents a collection that will deeply resonate with those who treasure the power of stories,” she indicated. “It is a perfect read for anyone who enjoys exploring life from different perspectives.”
Also, at the launch, Mr. Ayokunie Olajubu Abraham, managing director/chief executive at the United Bank for Africa Liberia Limited and Dr. Upjit Singh Sachdeva, ceo of Jeety Rubber Corporation lauded the kids the creativity that resulted to the publication of the book.
Sachdeva, however, recommended a collaboration between his school in Salala Rubber Corporation,Margibi County and Aware International School System.
“I would like for my school and the Aware International School System to enter into a partnership ” Sachdeva suggested.
Students, who represented their colleagues with works published in the book are; Aruna A.K. Fallah, Mamakoah M. Sabor, Romelia A. Amnon, Cheryl G. Dunbar and Amaslyn N. Williams.
Others include Anaiah Bedell, Dana Dream Conto, Gowtham R. Nair, Raphina M. S. Quaye, Randy Dunbar and, Desire F. Fallah, as well as Anita Kaushik, Ann Mariya Xavier and Stephanie D. Smith.
