Bility Makes Key Appointments To Bolster Cmc’s Grassroots Leadership

MONROVIA – In a move aimed at fortifying the Citizens’ Movement for Change (CMC) ahead of future political contests, the party’s Political Leader, Hon. Musa Hassan Bility, has announced a string of new appointments across Liberia’s counties and regions.

The appointments, which took immediate effect as of July 30, 2025, are intended to reinforce the party’s decentralized structure and enhance its organizational presence at both the regional and local levels. According to a statement issued by the party’s secretariat, the new officials will play a pivotal role in mobilizing grassroots support and ensuring effective political coordination.

Among the key appointments is Madam Yah Tokpah, who now serves as the Regional Coordinator for Region 3, which includes Bong, Lofa, and Nimba Counties, under the National Women’s Congress. Mr. Salia Dukuly has been named Chair of the Bomi County Chapter, while Madam Felecia Duncan takes over as Chair of the Grand Gedeh County Chapter. In Region 2, comprising Margibi, Grand Bassa, and Rivercess Counties, Madam Henrieta F. Martor has been appointed as the Regional Coordinator for the National Women’s Congress.

Other appointments include Ms. Weyatta Rosemarie McKeever as Assistant Secretary-General for Administration, and Mr. Kollie Nah as Chair of the Bong County Chapter. Additionally, Mr. Adihamu Gram Karneh has been tapped as Assistant Secretary-General for Records and Information, while Mr. Daniel B. Saa will now serve as Assistant Secretary-General for Data and Statistics. Mr. Lawrence Due assumes the role of Assistant Secretary-General for Operations.

Mr. James Kormah has been designated as Chair of the Gbarpolu County Chapter, and Mr. Jonah Nunee Tokpah will also serve as a Regional Coordinator for Region 3. The Grand Bassa County Chapter will now be chaired by Mr. Albert Vick Jr., and Mr. Momo Binda will serve as a District Coordinator in Gbarpolu County.

In his statement, Bility urged the new appointees to lead with purpose, integrity, and loyalty to the vision of the CMC. “These appointments reflect our commitment to effective local engagement and strong organizational leadership,” he said. “We expect each of you to lead with vision and uphold the core values of the Citizens’ Movement for Change.”

The appointments come amid growing public interest in alternative political voices, as many Liberians continue to express disillusionment with traditional political establishments. Bility, a prominent businessman and former chairman of the Liberia Football Association, has emerged as a leading figure pushing for reforms and accountability in Liberian politics through the CMC platform.

The statement was issued by Smith M. Toby, the Media Communications and Press Director for the Citizens’ Movement for Change.
