GBARNGA, BONG COUNTY – Authorities have launched a full-scale investigation after the body of an unidentified man was discovered early Tuesday, May 13, 2025, inside a taxi parked on the grounds of the Bong County Health Team office in Phebe.
According to eyewitnesses cited by Bong Pulse Online TV, the grim discovery was made when staff arriving for work detected a foul smell coming from a yellow Corolla taxi situated within the compound. Upon closer inspection, the man’s lifeless body was found slumped in the front seat of the vehicle.
Responding to the scene, officers from the Liberia National Police Bong Detachment swiftly cordoned off the area while investigators began collecting evidence. Though foul play has not yet been ruled out, the exact cause of death remains unknown, pending further forensic analysis.
The remains have since been transported to the St. Moses Funeral Parlour in Gbarnga for examination as authorities work to establish the man’s identity and determine how he ended up in the parked vehicle under such mysterious circumstances.
Police are appealing to the public for any information that could assist the ongoing probe. No further details have been released at this time as the investigation continues.
