Bong County: CDC Launches Membership Registration, Dues Payment Exercise

GBARNGA, Bong County, May 18, 2026 — The opposition Congress for Democratic Change (CDC) over the weekend officially launched its ID card registration and dues payment exercise in Gbarnga, Bong County, as part of efforts to strengthen the party’s membership structure and reorganize its grassroots network ahead of future political activities.

Speaking during the launch ceremony, Bong County CDC Chairman James T. Zuannah said the exercise is intended to register both new and existing members and capture their information in the party’s database.

According to Chairman Zuannah, the initiative forms part of the CDC’s broader county-level reorganization strategy aimed at improving internal coordination, documentation, and member participation within the party.

He encouraged partisans across Bong County to fully participate in the process, noting that obtaining party identification cards and paying dues would strengthen members’ involvement in party activities and decision-making.

The launch attracted scores of CDC supporters and partisans, commonly known as CDCians, who gathered to participate in the exercise to update the party’s membership records and increase grassroots engagement throughout the county.

Zuannah further explained that the exercise would help the party maintain an updated membership roll while enhancing grassroots mobilization and organizational preparedness ahead of future political engagements.

Several CDC supporters who attended the launch described the initiative as a major step toward revitalizing the party’s presence in Bong County and reaffirming members’ commitment to the CDC.

The exercise comes amid ongoing political reorganization efforts by major political parties across Liberia, as stakeholders continue to strengthen internal structures ahead of future national political activities.
