MONROVIA – The Congress for Democratic Change (CDC) has officially announced the establishment of channels for financial and material contributions to support the construction of its new headquarters. The announcement came in a press release issued on Thursday, September 4, 2025, and was signed by Oliver N. Kyne, Head of Communications and Public Affairs for the CDC Headquarters Construction Committee.
In the release, the committee encouraged all party members, sympathizers, and well-wishers to support the initiative through designated financial and material contributions. For monetary donations, contributors can make deposits directly to the United Bank for Africa (UBA) account of the CDC Headquarters Construction Committee. The committee provided separate account numbers for both Liberian dollars (LRD) and United States dollars (USD).
The CDC also provided options for mobile money transfers, including MTN MoMo, Orange Money, TIP-ME, and Sendwave. For international donors, the committee supplied detailed wire transfer information through Citibank New York, including the correspondent bank SWIFT code, ABA number, and beneficiary account details with UBA Liberia. The release indicated that additional channels, including Zelle and CashApp, will be announced soon for donors who prefer those platforms.
The committee further invited supporters to contribute building materials, tools, and other essential equipment. Contributors seeking to donate items were instructed to call the mobile money phone numbers provided for further guidance.
While a specific groundbreaking date has not yet been set, the committee assured the public that it will be announced in the coming days. The press release concluded with a call for collective effort and commitment, emphasizing the goal of constructing a state-of-the-art headquarters for the CDC.
The announcement marks a significant step in the party’s long-term infrastructure plans, signaling a push to strengthen its presence in Monrovia while engaging supporters directly in the development process. Party officials have underscored that these initiatives aim to foster transparency, accountability, and inclusive participation in the construction of the new headquarters.
