Following a thorough review, The New Dawn has established that 79 Resources Inc. remains in good standing with the Government of Liberia. The company has formally written to the Ministry of Mines and Energy, requesting clarity on any outstanding obligations the Ministry believes are owed by its parent company, Hamak Gold Ltd Furthermore, the company has asked that if any such obligations exist, they should be invoiced for prompt settlement.
In light of these developments, The New Dawn has retracted its previous story regarding Hamak Gold Ltd. and 79 Resources Inc.
We acknowledge that, given the current facts, the story should not have been published.
Additionally, our ongoing investigations have uncovered gross irregularities within the Ministry of Mines and Energy. Preliminary findings point to misconduct involving high-ranking officials, including the Assistant Minister and leadership within state-owned enterprises.
