Fahnbulleh Appeals To Noah’s Ark Administration To Reconsider Withholding Graduate’s Diploma

MONROVIA, LIBERIA, October 26, 2026- Former Noah’s Ark High School student leader Lawrence S. Fahnbulleh II is appealing to the school’s administration to reconsider its decision to withhold graduate Favor H. Dolley’s diploma over reported behavioral misconduct.

\n

Fahnbulleh says the school can uphold its disciplinary standards while giving the graduate a fair opportunity to learn from her mistake and move forward with her life.

In a statement titled “Save Her Future: A Leadership Appeal to Noah’s Ark High School,” Fahnbulleh acknowledged that Dolley’s reported smoking while wearing her school uniform was inappropriate and deserves disciplinary action.

\n

However, he expressed concern that withholding her diploma could affect her chances of pursuing further education and securing future employment.

Fahnbulleh noted that the diploma represents years of hard work and the successful completion of her secondary education, including the West African Senior School Certificate Examination, known as WASSCE.

\n

He believes the punishment should be proportionate to the offense and should not unnecessarily jeopardize the graduate’s future.

As an alternative, Fahnbulleh suggested that the school consider a formal written apology, community service, or other appropriate disciplinary measures.

\n

He said these options could hold Dolley accountable while allowing her to receive the academic credentials she has earned.

The former student leader specifically appealed to the administration, headed by Mr. Joseph D. Bestman, to reconsider the decision and find a fair and compassionate solution.

\n

He emphasized that schools have a responsibility not only to enforce rules but also to guide students, help them learn from their mistakes, and encourage positive behavior.

Fahnbulleh stressed that discipline should promote personal growth and responsibility rather than unnecessarily limit a student’s future opportunities.

\n

He also encouraged Dolley to take responsibility for her actions, reflect on the incident, and use the experience as a lesson for the future.

According to him, one mistake should not define a person’s entire life.

\n

Fahnbulleh expressed hope that the school’s administration would review the matter fairly and reach a decision that maintains school discipline while giving Dolley the opportunity to learn, grow, and move forward with dignity.
