Former Tanzanian President Pays Courtesy Visit to President Boakai, Delivers Special Message from Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan – Global News Network Liberia

Executive Mansion, Monrovia– His Excellency Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete, Former President of the United Republic of Tanzania and Special Envoy of Her Excellency Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of Tanzania, was received at the Executive Mansion over the weekend to deliver a special message to His Excellency Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., President of the Republic of Liberia.

The message focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation, promoting world peace, and fostering African solidarity.

Accompanying the Special Envoy was Professor Mohamed Janabi, Advisor to the President of Tanzania on Health and Nutrition and Chief Executive Officer of Muhimbili Hospital.

During the meeting, Professor Janabi expressed gratitude to President Boakai for the warm hospitality extended to the delegation and conveyed fraternal greetings from the Tanzanian Government.

President Boakai fondly recalled his initial meeting with Former President Kikwete during discussions surrounding the Millennium Challenge Compact and mentioned his recent visit to Tanzania for the Africa Heads of State Energy Summit held recently in Dar es Salaam.

Commending Former President Kikwete’s commitment to public service, President Boakai lauded his continued role in supporting the incumbent President, Dr. Hassan, as a Special Envoy, working in the best interests of the Tanzanian people.

 Former President Kikwete, in turn, expressed his desire to return to Liberia for a future visit.

President Boakai reaffirmed his commitment to working closely with the Tanzanian President to further strengthen the long-standing and fruitful relationship between Liberia and Tanzania. He also extended warm messages of goodwill to the Government and people of Tanzania and wished President Hassan continued personal well-being and success in her leadership.

The meeting reinforced the deep ties between the two African nations and their shared commitment to collaboration on regional and global issues.
