Grand Kru Technical College Honors Dr. Gray For Transformative Leadership As Acting President

MONROVIA – In recognition of his extraordinary contributions to academia and the community, Prof. Dr. Josephus Moses  Gray was honored by the Board of Trustees and the administration of the Grand Kru Technical  College. Dr. Gray served the College for 14onths as Acting President, in a Pro one role.

Beaming with pride throughout the ceremony, Dr. Gray was lauded for his leadership and impactful service.

On behalf of the Board of Trustees, Dr. Emmanuel Urey Yarkpawolo, Executive Director of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and Mr. Joe Sengbeh, Grand Kru County Development Superintendent, presented the special honor in acknowledgment of Dr. Gray’s transformative achievements at the Grand Kru Technical College.

The Board commended Dr. Gray for his exceptional service and for laying a strong foundation that will guide the institution under the leadership of its first President, Prof. Dr. Sarwee Joe Wia Faeflen.

On Tuesday, May 6, 2025, the Grand Kru Technical College hosted its inaugural investiture ceremony to officially install its first President, Prof. Dr. Sarwee Joe Wia Faeflen.

The historic event marked a significant milestone for both the college and Grand Kru County.

During the ceremony, Dr. Josephus Gray formally handed over the gavel of authority to Dr. Faeflen, encouraging him to wield it effectively for sound decision-making that promotes the stability, growth, and continued development of the institution.

The ceremony drew a jubilant crowd, including dignitaries, faculty, students, staff, local authorities, and government officials, all gathered in Barclayville City under clear skies and celebratory spirits.
