KOLAHUN, LOFA COUNTY – The Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) has arrested a 27-year-old Nigerian national identified as Ebuka Chidubam William for the illegal possession of narcotic drugs. The arrest was made during a routine patrol on July 29, 2025, around 5:00 PM along the Halipo Highway in Kolahun District, Lofa County.
According to authorities, William, a resident of Kolba City in the same district, was apprehended after officers discovered 15 strips of tramadol in his possession. The controlled substance has an estimated street value of L$30,000, equivalent to approximately USD 151.00.
Following his arrest, the suspect underwent a preliminary investigation conducted by the LDEA Lofa County Detachment. He has been formally charged under Liberia’s amended drug law for illegal possession of narcotic substances. Authorities have since forwarded William to the Kolahun Magisterial Court, where he is expected to stand trial.
