Noah passed away late Saturday evening at the St. Joseph’s Catholic Hospital in Monrovia.

His sudden death has shocked many across Liberia’s political spectrum, drawing emotional responses from both opposition figures and members of the ruling establishment.

Jefferson Koijee, Secretary General of the opposition Congress for Democratic Change (CDC) and former Monrovia Mayor, expressed deep sorrow. “Oh death, an unfiltered reality. I am shackled by grief and disbelief. Cletus, until we meet again, rest well,” Koijee wrote on social media.

Aloysius Howe, a former special aide to Tweah who worked closely with Noah, recalled their last conversations with sadness. “You motivated and encouraged me, told me to be strong and never give up,” Howe said, adding that they had planned to speak regularly. “Didn’t know it was our last interaction.”

The tributes crossed political divides. A member of the ruling Unity Party called the news “shocking” on Facebook, while Unity Party executive Pawala Janyan remembered Noah as more than a colleague. “We didn’t share blood, but you were a big brother to me in every sense,” Janyan wrote. “You lived a life that touched many.”

Noah’s cause of death has not been officially disclosed, and funeral arrangements are pending, according to family sources.

He served as Chief of Staff throughout Samuel Tweah’s tenure at the Ministry of Finance and played a key role in the Weah administration’s inner circle.

His death is being mourned as a significant loss to many who remembered him for his loyalty, mentorship, and personal warmth.
