Monrovia — Former President of Liberia, George Weah, has paid a courtesy visit to President Denis Sassou Nguesso of the Republic of Congo, in Brazzaville following an invitation from the Congolese leader.
During the visit, the former Liberian leader updated President Nguesso on the current political situation in Liberia and urged African Union leaders to address the growing erosion of the rule of law in Liberia.
The two leaders also discussed various regional and global matters, with a focus on how Africa can better utilize its natural resources to benefit the continent.
President Nguesso, a seasoned leader with extensive experience in African diplomacy, reaffirmed his commitment to peace, security, and development across the continent.
Following the visit, former President Weah is expected to continue his tour, with stops planned in Ghana, and other African countries before returning to Liberia.
