The rumors, which gained traction over the weekend, suggested that Rev. Reeves was suspended after publicly criticizing President Joseph Boakai’s purchase of a luxury Lexus SUV, valued at over $400,000.

Reeves’ purported statement, which went viral, accused Boakai of hypocrisy, referencing his previous pledge to “ride a wheelbarrow” to work to conserve public funds.

However, the LCC Secretary General Rev., Dr. Christopher Toe, dismissed the claims, labeling them as baseless and the work of detractors. Rev. Toe clarified that the LCC leadership, under the chairmanship of Rev. Reeves has not issued any statement condemning President Boakai for purchasing luxurious cars, or held any meetings regarding the suspension of any member.

Rev. Toe stressed that the claims were false and urged the public to disregard them. He also called on those spreading misinformation to come forward and take responsibility for their actions, warning that such stories were damaging the credibility of the LCC.

Furthermore, he cautioned the media to reject these misleading reports, as they do not accurately represent the LCC’s stance on national issues.
