Monrovia, July 11, 2025: Speaking Thursday at the Ministry of Information, Cultural Affairs and Tourism regular press briefing, Mr. William Anderson, CEO of NOVA Africa Venture Group, who appeared at the event alongside Presidential Advisor Madella Cooper said the event is being organized in partnership with the Office of the Vice President, NOVA Africa Ventures and the National Investment Commission.
NOVA Africa Ventures is one of Liberia’s leading investment advisory firms, collaborating with the government to foster investment and drive economic growth.
NOVA helps international investors, development partners, and private businesses connect with the right information and resources they need to invest in critical areas of Liberia’s economy.
Speaking on the occasion, he says, the conference, which will be held under the theme “Partnering for Prosperity,” aims to attract private investment in key sectors such as agriculture, energy, tourism, infrastructure, aviation, mining, technology, and finance.
“These sectors are major priorities under the President’s ARREST Agenda, and the conference will help bring in companies that are ready to invest in them.”
Accordingly, he revealed that some of those companies have already agreed to come to Liberia, and some may arrive later this year to begin investing and improving productivity across different sectors.
“Last year, a company came to buy natural organic products from the Liberian market to export to supermarkets in Black communities in the U.S. So, the project is ongoing, and this year, the President of the company is expected to return to Liberia to continue.
Anderson also revealed that Liberia is in talks with several major international firms, including: Jitex Aviation (France), In Geneco, a fintech company from France operating in South Africa Or De Leon Group (USA), Arkansas River Rice Mill Group (USA), which he says will help Liberia reduce its 210-million-metric-ton rice import gap by supplying high quality rice and supporting local production.
He said the event will also create real opportunities for Liberians, especially young people, by encouraging companies to come in and open up new job and business prospects.
Mr. Anderson encouraged NOVA and the government to continue working together to bring in the private sector and build trust with international partners.
“For Liberia to succeed, we need to show the world that we are a trustworthy partner,” he said.
However, the 2025 conference will also feature local companies such as Orange Liberia, AGL, AquaLife, EPO, and the Capital Hotel. International groups, including the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, UNDP, and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), have agreed to serve as supporters of the event.
Meanwhile, Madame Copper will deliver the keynote address at the Investment Conference, which is expected to help bring more investment into Liberia and support national growth and development. – Edited by Othello B. Garblah.
