Liberia: UP Supporters in Bong County Urge President Boakai to Appoint Orando Zarwolo to Government Post

Zarwolo, who contested the 2023 legislative elections in Bong County District Three under the Unity Party ticket, finished second with 8,254 votes. Despite his strong showing and years of loyalty to the party, he has yet to receive a government appointment.

At a recent gathering in Gbarnga, members of the Friends of Zarwolo movement expressed disappointment over the delay in recognizing Zarwolo’s contributions to the party. Brooks Bonokollie, the group’s secretary general, said Zarwolo has stood by the Unity Party since 2017 and played a key role in promoting its ideals during challenging times.

“We are simply asking that the party recognizes Mr. Zarwolo’s efforts and appoints him to a position where he can continue serving the people,” Bonokollie said.

Zarwolo, a businessman-turned-politician, holds a degree in Public Administration and Management from Cuttington University. Supporters say his academic background and experience in leadership make him a strong candidate for public service.
