Monrovia-The House of Representatives has lost its Deputy Chief Clerk, Mr. C. Commicks Chea, Sr. Widely known as “DCC,” he served as the Deputy Chief Clerk for long period of time before his death in the early hours of Sunday, June 1, 2025 at St. Joseph Catholic Hospital, following a brief illness.
Mr. Chea was actively fulfilling his official responsibilities as recently as May 30, when he attended a legislative session.
“Tragically, he collapsed upon returning to his office, prompting immediate medical attention,” a statement about his passing read.
“Despite the urgent efforts to stabilize him, he transitioned peacefully under the care of health professionals.”
The late Chea is described as a dedicated and exemplary professional, known for his unwavering commitment to public service.
He began his legislative career as a Senior Stenographer during the 54th Legislature before being elected Deputy Chief Clerk in the current 55th Legislature, where he served with honor and integrity.
According to the statement. “his contributions to the legislative process, coupled with his dedication, humility, and collaborative spirit, earned him deep respect among colleagues and staff members alike.
Mr. Chea’s legacy of service and devotion to the nation will surely be remembered and celebrated.
