LNBA Boss Goes To Law Reform

MONROVIA-President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., has nominated and appointed additional officials to key positions of Government affecting the Law Reform Commission (LRC), the Governance Commission (GC), the Local Government of Margibi County and the National Food Assistance Agency (NFAA).

These appointments, where applicable, are subject to confirmation by the Liberian Senate.

Those nominated and appointed are; Cllr. Bornor M. Varmah Chairman- Law Reform Commission (LRC) and Cllr. Massa Jallabah-Commissioner. At the Governance Commission, President Boakai has nominated Mr. Matthew Ballah Kollie, Jr. as Commissioner, National Integrity System and the Local Government level in Margibi County, he has nominated Rev. John W. Smith, City Mayor, Marshall City.

At the National Food Assistance Agency (NFAA) Board President Boakai appointed the Ministry of Agriculture as Chair, Ministry of Finance and Development, Planning, Co-chair, Ministry of Education, Member, Ministry of Commerce, Member, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Member, General Services Agency, Member, Liberia Chamber of Commerce, Member, Liberia Marketing Association, Member, and National Food Assistance Agency, Executive Director, Secretary to the Board.

President Boakai stated that these nominations are intended to support the Government’s goals of effective governance, accountability, and community-focused leadership.

He indicated his expectation that the appointees will perform their responsibilities with integrity, loyalty, and dedication, working towards improving public institutions and providing results for Liberia.

The President also congratulated the nominees and asked the Senate to consider their confirmation following the end of its constituency break.
