The pavement of Sanniquellie – Loguatuo Road is opening a corridor for investment in the commercially booming borderline in Liberia.
When this reporter visited the borderline on Monday, February 7, 2025, it was observed that a modern guest house was built to ease difficulty travelers and business go through in terms of accommodations.
The guest house ‘La Lagune Hotel’ is situated at the entrance of Loguatuo from Karnplay.
It is well furnished and with air conditioning in each of the rooms, a mini bar, while the completion of a restaurant is nearby.
The construction of this modern hotel is likely to ease the difficulty travelers face at one of the most lucrative rural borderlines in Liberia.
Those plying the route to either Ivory Coast, Ghana, Togo or other West African countries usually spent the night either in Ganta or Sanniquellie where there are affordable and several hotels and restaurants.
The manager, Sylvia Goore explained components to make the hotel hospitable are also.near completion.

“The construction of the road is opening a new corridor for investment here and we pray that the road is fully completed so as to encourage more investments to come,” said Ma Beatrice Karnue, a marketer in Loguatuo.
Currently, there are several other hotels and motels in Loguatuo, but most of them are not too conducive, there are no modern restaurants or bars, but many believe that if the road is fully completed the borderline custom town will splendor with businesses.
In the Loguatuo, most of the food or cuisine are Ivorian food and are sold on the street, something most of the Ivorian Business or tourist usually traveled either Sanniquellie or Ganta get the taste of Liberian food.
