SALALA, Bong County, April 22, 2026 – Bong County District #6 Representative Moima Briggs Mensah has reaffirmed her support for the expulsion of former Montserrado County District #10 Representative Yekeh Y. Kolubah, declaring she would “sign it 100 times,” while also announcing plans to present a comprehensive two-year legislative report to her constituents from April 28 to May 2, 2026.
Speaking ahead of the scheduled engagement, Rep. Mensah said the report will detail her work over the past two years, including key development initiatives, challenges, and interventions undertaken in Salala District.
Addressing the controversial expulsion of Rep. Kolubah, the Bong County lawmaker maintained that the House of Representatives acted appropriately, insisting that the decision was justified and within its legislative authority.
In addition to governance matters, Rep. Mensah disclosed that a series of women’s empowerment activities will precede the report, with support from UN Women, aimed at strengthening women’s roles in community development.
The upcoming district-wide engagement is expected to bring together local leaders, stakeholders, and residents, providing a platform for accountability, dialogue, and assessment of development priorities.
The development comes at a time when national debate continues over legislative conduct, accountability, and the broader implications of Kolubah’s removal, placing renewed focus on governance and representation in Liberia’s political landscape.
