The Qatar Fund for Development through the Embassy of the State of Qatar near Monrovia has distributed food materials. The fund came from the Qatar Fund for Development, a Qatari-based development establishment.
The food items targeted the poor and needy people during this Holy Month of Ramadan, where charity-giving is highly encouraged.
The Qatari-Liberian relations are solid and firm in development and humanitarian cooperation. Of course, this gesture from the Qataris represents the Liberian-Qatari friendship.
Thousands of Liberian Muslims benefited from the distribution, including the Liberia Muslim Foundation for Development, Markaz Oubai ibn Ka’b for Quranic Memorization, Iron Factory Central Mosque, Islamic Unity Foundation Center, Alhaji Souleyman Syllah Foundation Mosque and other fifteen institutions.
Statically, more than 6000 individuals benefited from food items. They expressed their delight and happiness about the donation.
