A mother in Margibi County gashes her daughter for stealing peanuts from the kitchen.

Margibi, Liberia, April 4, 2025 – A 58-year-old mother of Kakata, Margibi County, has allegedly stabbed her 16-year-old daughter, only identified as Miamue, for allegedly stealing peanuts, police disclosed.
Suspect Hawa Fofana is a resident of Sirleaf Estate Area in New Kakata Community, Margibi.
The incident happened on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, while they were working in their kitchen.
The NEW DAWN gathered that the girl is in critical condition due to the severity of injury sustained from the attack by her mother.
Some folks say her survivability is only dependent on God.
The police told this paper that the victim was receiving medication at C.H. Rennie Hospital in Kakata.
Madam Hawa Fofana has been charged with the crime of aggravated assault, as she remains in Police custody while investigation continues into the matter.
News of the situation rapidly spread across Margibi County with many people describing the woman as very wicked.
