MONROVIA, Liberia — The Center for National Documents and Records Agency (CNDRA), through its National Public Library, is exploring avenues for collaboration with the Embassy of Cuba near Monrovia.
On Monday, September 28, 2026, the Director of Library Services and Supervisor of the Adult Library, Christian J. Jlatuh, paid a courtesy visit to the Embassy of Cuba as part of efforts to establish a cooperative relationship between the National Library and the Cuban diplomatic mission.
The visit focused on identifying opportunities for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and other initiatives that could strengthen the relationship between the two institutions.
According to Mr. Jlatuh, the meeting was productive, with both sides exchanging positive ideas on building a strong partnership based on mutual respect, integrity, and shared opportunities.
Her Excellency Dr. Indira López Argüelles, Ambassador of Cuba to Liberia, commended the CNDRA, particularly the National Public Library, for the important work it continues to do in promoting access to information, knowledge, and learning.
Ambassador López Argüelles also expressed her willingness to work with the National Library and explore practical areas of cooperation.
The CNDRA says the engagement forms part of its broader efforts to strengthen partnerships and expand opportunities for the National Public Library to better serve the public.
