New Online Platform Launched to Reduce Mass Failure in WASSCE | News

To tackle the persistent issue of mass failures in public examinations, KwiNuu, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, non-governmental organization based in both the United States of America and Liberia, has officially launched its internet learning platform, KwiNuu.Org, for grade school students across Liberia.

According to Dr. Arthur G. Tarr, Jr., Founder and Chief Executive Officer of KwiNuu, the platform was created using WordPress, an open-source content management system (CMS) that is free for anyone to download, use, and improve.

Speaking to journalists over the weekend in Oldest Congo Town, Dr. Tarr disclosed that the platform was developed with a primary focus on creating compelling educational content specifically for 3rd, 6th, 9th, and 12th-grade students.

He emphasized that KwiNuu.Org is designed to provide useful learning resources across all subjects, aiming to significantly improve students’ academic outcomes both in school and in public examinations, particularly the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

Beyond content creation, Dr. Tarr said KwiNuu also plans to focus on the professional development of Liberian teachers, research, and outreach activities to strengthen the country’s education sector.

“KwiNuu means to learn, to grow, to strive to be cultured for a promising future in old Liberia — for a better Liberia for all Liberians,” Dr. Tarr explained. “That’s why our organization is built around four thematic areas: Collaboration, Learning, Integrity, and Punctuality.”

Dr. Tarr encouraged Liberian students, particularly those preparing for future WAEC-administered exams, to take full advantage of the new platform, assuring them that KwiNuu.Org would help them achieve higher scores.

“For Liberia to move forward, its citizenry must be educated. Education is a vital requisite for the survival and progress of our country,” he stressed.

“As a developer of KwiNuu, I hope this platform will plant the necessary seeds in our students, helping them to learn, grow, and succeed. Above all, dear young Liberians, just keep learning — a bright future awaits you.”
