Npa Senior Director Resigns Citing Personal And Administrative Reasons

MONROVIA – In a formal letter addressed to Sekou A.M. Dukuly, Managing Director of the National Port Authority (NPA) on March 27, 2025, Michael Doe Tipayson, Senior Director of the Records & Archives Department, announced his resignation from the NPA, effective April 30, 2025.

Tipayson, in his resignation letter, stated that his decision to step down was prompted by both personal and administrative reasons. Though the nature of these reasons was not fully detailed, the letter expressed a sense of regret at the decision, highlighting that it was not made lightly.

While resigning from his position, Tipayson requested that NPA management, under Dukuly’s leadership, address pending benefits owed to him. These include rice allowances dating back to October 2024, as well as gasoline and scratch card allowances from January 2025. His resignation letter emphasized the importance of settling these outstanding matters before his departure.

“I would appreciate it if the NPA management under your leadership can pay my benefits owed me,” Tipayson wrote in the letter, underlining his expectation for the NPA to fulfill these financial obligations as part of the resignation process.

Tipayson also expressed gratitude for the opportunities and experiences he had during his time with the NPA, thanking the organization for the professional growth he had gained while serving in his capacity. Despite the abrupt departure, his tone remained courteous and respectful toward the NPA and its leadership.
