Planned Parenthood Liberia Official Sentenced To 10 Years For Economic Sabotage

MONROVIA  – Criminal Court ‘C’ Judge Blamo Dixon has handed down a 10-year prison sentence to Enree B. Neeplo, Program Manager of the Planned Parenthood Association of Liberia, after she was found guilty of economic sabotage.

In addition to her sentence, Neeplo has been ordered to repay over US$200,000 and pay a US$300 fine. The restitution covers unauthorized expenditures, including the purchase of a PEWETTA vehicle, a Ford Everest SUV, laptops, catering services, and funding for youth-related programs.

The conviction stems from a Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission (LACC) investigation and indictment, which charged Neeplo with theft, fraudulent disbursement of public funds, misuse of government property, fraud, and criminal conspiracy.

Neeplo’s conviction follows a July 2024 jury verdict that implicated several other individuals in a widespread corruption scandal. Although she had petitioned the court for a separate trial, Judge Dixon ultimately ruled against the request, resulting in her conviction alongside co-defendants Miatta K.K. Kojolo, Ernest Vobah, Peter Collins, and William Gibson.
