President Boakai Urges Unity, Renewal In Easter Message To Liberians

MONROVIA – President Joseph Nyuma Boakai has called on Liberians to draw strength from the message of Easter by embracing unity, faith, and collective purpose to overcome the country’s challenges and build a better future. In a special Easter message delivered on April 20, 2025, the Liberian leader urged citizens to use the holy period as a time of reflection, gratitude, and spiritual renewal.

Referencing Romans 6:4, President Boakai highlighted the symbolic meaning of Christ’s resurrection as a call for new life both in faith and in national spirit. He described Easter as a powerful reminder of the sacrifice, grace, and hope that Jesus Christ represents, encouraging Liberians to embody those values in their daily lives and interactions.

“In the face of the trials we have endured as a nation, we have also seen moments of resilience and progress,” Boakai said. “This Easter, let us renew our belief not only in God but in each other and in the promise of a united and prosperous Liberia.”

The President stressed the importance of rising above divisions and working together to achieve peace and justice. “We are stronger when we are united,” he affirmed, urging citizens to set aside differences and walk forward with a shared sense of purpose and love for country.

President Boakai concluded by wishing Liberians a joyful Easter filled with hope and blessings, and invoked God’s continued favor upon the Republic of Liberia.
