The Mano River Union Secretariat has received a grant from the African Development Bank (AfDB) to implement the project to Build Inclusive Business Ecosystems for Stabilization and Transformation (BI-BEST) in the Mano River Union (MRU) and intends to apply part of the agreed amount for this grant to payments under the contract for the hiring of a consulting firm for the provision of functional literacy for project beneficiaries involved in cross border trade across 3 Value Chains (cassava, palm oil and vegetables) in the selected project communities.
The overall objective of the assignment is to provide functional literacy training services to women who are involved in cross-border trade in the three value chains in the four project communities as a way of strengthening their capacity for increased business performance and subsequently, improved livelihoods.
