A Message of Appreciation to His Excellency Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr.

President of the Republic of Liberia

Your Excellency President Joseph N. Boakai,

Warm greetings in the spirit of peace, development, and patriotism.

As a loyal citizen of the Republic of Liberia, and as the Founder & President of Rudolph Kwanue University College (RKUC) and Founder & CEO of the Rudolph Group of Companies, I, Bishop Prof. Rudolph Q. Kwanue Sr., PhD, take this time to extend my deepest appreciation for the amazing efforts you are making to develop our beloved nation.

My own family in Tappita, Nimba County has told me that the road project is going well in that area.

They are excited and hopeful. I have also learned that in parts of the Southeast, you are doing well, and in Lofa County, your work is evident.

Lofa County especially should be thankful—you’ve appointed many prominent sons and daughters of Lofa into key positions.

It is now up to them to help you move Lofa forward. You’ve done your part.

I also recognize your leadership in improving the Liberia National Police.

The professionalism and discipline I see in them today are commendable. As someone who openly speaks against bad governance—past or present—I must be honest: when a leader does well, he deserves praise.

You are doing well.

Your swift suspension of corrupt officials, your resolve in stabilizing the House of Representatives, and your clear steps toward good governance are clear signs that you are serious. Thank you.

I was impressed recently driving from Police Academy Junction to Central Monrovia.

The traffic lights, police visibility, and road order made me feel like I was in Rwanda or South Africa—a new Liberia is coming.

Your decision to remove motorbikes from ELWA Junction to Central Monrovia is not popular, but it’s necessary.

I was once a bike rider, and I still say: thank you for putting order on our roads.

Development comes with sacrifice, and you have taken bold steps.

Also, I appreciate your Vice President, Hon. Jeremiah Koung—a humble, respectful man, loved by both young and old. You chose well.

As a fellow son of Nimba County, I say Nimba will continue to support you because you recognized one of her own.

Thank you too for accepting the apology of Hon. Henry Pedro Costa. Costa loves Liberia and has a passion for truth. We are all human, and I’m glad you showed forgiveness.

That’s the mark of a father.

Mr. President, I am not a member of your party or any political party in Liberia.

I am a private, loyal citizen who loves this country deeply. I speak from my heart—without favor or fear.

Many doubted you would succeed. But God has His purpose for you.

You are leading with wisdom and courage.

May the Lord continue to bless your government, your family, and Mama Liberia.

With all sincerity,

Bishop Prof. Rudolph Q. Kwanue Sr., PhD
