‘Saah Unfit, Corrupt’ – New Republic Liberia News

MONROVIA-“The chickens are coming home to roost” ahead of the 2029 elections with the formation of political movements and parties by prospective hopefuls for the presidency.

Of all the potential presidential hopefuls in 2029, Montserrado County Senator Saah Joseph, is being put on the prism by former Montserrand zado County Superintendent Grace Kpaan, who has unleashed scathing critique of the Senator’s deals and ability to hold office.

Though Senator has not declared his intentions for the highest office of the land, his resignation from the Congress for Democratic Change and subsequent formation of new political party – People’s Action Party (proposed) – is seen as critical step for his presidential ambition.

Appearing on Punch FM during the course of the week, Ex-Superintendent Kpan branded Senator Joseph as “corrupt beyond imagination” and “unfit to hold any leadership role in Liberia.”

She claimed that senator Joseph is exploiting the country’s resources for personal gain while failing to deliver on promises made to the Liberian people.

In her vilification of the presumed PAP political leader, Madam Kpan said Senator Joseph has neither demonstrated competence nor integrity in his public service, arguing that the Montserrado County lawmaker does not deserve higher office.

She further propounded: “Saah Joseph needs God. He is a vampire and corrupt beyond imagination. He continues to steal the resources of the country. Saah Joseph is incompetent to be president for any organization, least to talk about Liberia.”

This paper could not get response from the Senator after several efforts were made to reach out to him, including text messages and calls.

Kpaan declared intention to be a central figure in the 2029 elections, saying she would campaign vigorously against Joseph and other political figures that “corrupt and deceptive.”

The former Superintendant did not spare Representative Thomas Fallah in her criticism and those she intends to oppose.

According to her, “I will be out there in 2029, campaigning against him and other corrupt individuals, including Thomas Fallah.”

“Let them stop fooling the people with their stories,” she added.

Her comments come barely three weeks after the Senator severed ties with his former party and accused its officials of corruption, abuse of power and greedy.

It is the first time, the former Montserrado County Superintendent, former running mate to then Presidential contender, Clarence Mulbah of the Liberia National Union (LINU), has come public since their failed attempt to the presidency.

As superintendent, Madam Kpan was embroiled in serious controversy with former District 16 Representative, Edward Forh over funds intended for county development. He was heard in a leaked audio coded “You eat, I eat,” exposing plans conspicuously hatched to butcher the money for personal use.
