To ease the financial constraints faced by Students within Grand Kru County and its environs, Senator Albert Tugbe Chie has made available Three Hundred Thousand Liberian Dollars ($LD300, 000.00) for sixty students currently attending the Grand Kru County Technical College from the Twelve Traditional Communities within the County.
A release issued on Thursday, January 30, 2025, from Senator Chie’s Capital Building Office is quoted as saying, that the Student Group of each Traditional Community will be responsible for selecting five beneficiaries through a free, fair, and transparent process.
The Former Senate Pro-tempore believes that the initiative will strengthen students’ Technical College skills, leading to economic empowerment.
Senator Albert Chie, who is also the Chair of the Public Works Committee at the Liberian Senate is encouraging all the beneficiaries of his Financial Aid Program to take advantage of the opportunity to be studious in their respective educational sojourn as they work collaboratively to foster the County’s Developmental Agenda.
At the same time, Senator Chie, who is also referred to as the Developmental Godfather of Grand Kru has undertaken numerous infrastructure developmental projects, ranging from the construction of City Halls, Clinics, Administrative Buildings, and Loan Schemes to businesswomen, logistics to district Superintendents, promoting freedom of the press, as well as intervening in other priority sectors throughout the County.
As part of some of his workings, the Senator has lobbied with his colleagues and enacted laws that have witnessed the establishment of two Vocational Institutions in the Forpoh and Trehn Statutory Districts.
The Administration of the College and Students have expressed gratitude to the senator for identifying with them and giving key attention to the County’s Education System. They have called on all well-meaning Grand Kru citizens to emulate Albert Tugbe Chie’s initiative in meaningfully contributing to the human resource development of the youth.
