Two Women Arrested In Webbo For Heroin Sale And Possession

The Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) has arrested two Liberian women, Patience Nagbeh, 22, and Haja Tuore, 48, in connection with the illegal distribution of heroin in Webbo, southeastern Liberia. The arrest followed their official turnover to the agency by the Webbo Magistrate Court on May 1, 2025.

The case began when the Liberia National Police (LNP) Webbo detail brought both women before the court over a reported debt of LRD 20,000. During court proceedings, Nagbeh admitted that the money was tied to a failed heroin sale. She claimed that Tuore had supplied her with heroin to sell, but she was unable to sell the full amount. On the magistrate’s instruction, Nagbeh was ordered to return the unsold drugs, which were immediately handed over to the LDEA.

Subsequent investigation by the LDEA revealed that Tuore had allegedly provided Nagbeh with 80 wraps of heroin, valued at LRD 20,000 on the street. Authorities also uncovered that Tuore had previously been linked to drug-related offenses in both River Gee County in 2023 and Maryland County in 2024.

Following the investigation, both women were charged under Sections 14.85 and 14.89 of Liberia’s Controlled Substances Act, which deal with the unlicensed sale and possession of narcotics. They were formally forwarded to court for prosecution on May 5, 2025.

The LDEA reaffirmed its commitment to tackling drug trafficking and appealed to the public for support by reporting suspicious drug activity to its hotline.
