MONROVIA – The Demography Student Association at the University of Liberia (DEMOSA-UL) has extended heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Josephus M. Gray, Dean of the Amos C. Sawyer College of Social Sciences and Humanities, for his continuous support and leadership.
In a statement posted to its official Facebook page on Saturday, April 26, 2025, DEMOSA-UL lauded Dean Gray for his unwavering commitment to student development and empowerment. The Association highlighted the Dean’s openness, accessibility, and willingness to engage with students, describing him as a “pillar of encouragement” since their first interaction.
The group specifically acknowledged Dean Gray’s pledge of LRD 50,000 during their recent Meet and Greet event, a gesture they say exemplifies his dedication to fostering student initiatives and leadership. According to DEMOSA-UL, Dean Gray’s open-door policy and inclusive leadership style have been instrumental in helping the Association rebrand and reposition itself on the University of Liberia campus.
“Thank you, Dean Gray, for believing in us, standing with us, and walking this journey with us. Your support means everything,” the Association expressed in its public message.
DEMOSA-UL’s appreciation post was widely shared across affiliated student groups, including the Sociology, Anthropology & Criminology Students Association (SACSA-UL) and the Vanguard Student Unification Party (SUP), further amplifying the impact of Dean Gray’s influence within the University community.
Dean Gray, who has served in several academic and leadership capacities at the University of Liberia, is recognized for his hands-on approach to mentoring students and strengthening academic programs across the Amos C. Sawyer College.
The gesture by DEMOSA-UL emphasizes the growing appreciation for leaders who remain accessible and committed to nurturing the next generation of Liberian scholars.
