A fistfight between two neighbors in Mount Barclay Community leaves one person pronounced dead.

Mount Barclay, Liberia, March 7, 2025 – A woman identified as Cecelia Ballah is in Police Custody for allegedly murdering her neighbor in a fistfight after a heated argument.
According to initial investigation, Suspect Cecelia Ballah, had jumped out and grabbed the victim, Dorcas Moibah by hair and dragged her down in a gutter (drainage), where she instantly broke her ribs, disconnected her spinal cord and the food she was eating entered her head with force as she suddenly lost birth.
Further reports detail that Dorcas was pronounced dead after family members rushed her to ELWA Hospital and later to John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital, where her remains are deposited pending investigation.
The tragic incident occurred in the Mount Barclay Community on Saturday night, March 1, 2025, at around 9 pm, after a bitter quarrel between the two neighbors, who were throwing jabs at each other.
Community dwellers narrate to the NEW DAWN that the rage had started after the late Dorcas came from her normal hustle in the commercial hub of Red Light, where she did her business, when Suspect Cecelia started throwing jabs at her in a longstanding confusion.
“These two had been in confusion, but for what I cannot tell you; when Dorcas came from Red Light, Cece started throwing talk at her, and surprisingly, they both started fighting”, a resident, Edwin Kromah, explains.
A brother of the deceased, Elijah Moibah, who is calling for justice, says Cecelia brutally killed his sister.
“My sister was brutally murdered, and we are not seeing fair judgment; all the Police have done is to tell us to take charge of our body for burial before the investigation”, he laments.
According to him, the late Dorcas, upon returning from Red Light that fateful evening, sat by her sick mother, eating when Cecelia again started throwing jabs at her, but it was Dorcas’ son identified as Peter, who responded to the jabs thrown his mother, something that irritated Cecelia’s husband, who joined the quarrel, running behind Peter allegedly with a knife for insulting his wife.
Elijah continues that in the absence of Peter, who had escaped for his life, it was when Suspect Cecelia joined the quarrel, attacking Dorcas and killing her instantly.
Meanwhile, when The NEW DAWN contacted the Mount Barclay Police Station, authorities there referred our reporter to Police Spokesperson (102) to speak on the case, but unfortunately, Cecelia Clark’s phone rang without response till press time. Editing by Jonathan Browne
