The House of Representatives welcomes U.S. Congressman David H. Zimmerman, to Liberia.
Monrovia, Liberia, April 10, 2025 – The House of Representatives has welcomed a visit to Liberia by U.S. Congressman David H. Zimmerman.
Congressman Zimmerman is of the 99th Legislative District, Pennsylvania State Capitol, Harrisburg, who is in the country as a guest of Rep. Richard Nagbe Koon and the full membership of the House.
Congressman Zimmerman, who arrived here with a delegation from Pennsylvania, is on a mission of goodwill, spiritual engagement, and legislative diplomacy.
His visit is part of broader efforts to strengthen U.S.-Liberia relations, foster reconciliation, and support national development initiatives.
As part of his itinerary, Congressman Zimmerman Wednesday, 9 April host a Business Conference at the Paynesville Town Hall, bringing together local entrepreneurs and business leaders. He is also scheduled to hold stakeholdersโ meetings with Speaker Koon and members of the House of Representatives, the Vice President and members of the Liberian Senate, as well as meet President Joseph Nyuma Boakai.
During his engagements, the U.S. Congressman is expected to participate in open dialogue with Liberian lawmakers, share insights on the U.S. legislative system, and deliver a message of unity and reconciliation aimed at fostering greater cooperation among members of Liberiaโs legislative body.
The visit is seen as a vital contribution to Liberiaโs post-conflict recovery and a reaffirmation of the shared democratic values and historical bonds between Liberia and the United States.
