Commerce Minister Designate Dagoseh
Press Release: Tuesday, November 5, 2024: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has a new minister. She is Magdalene Dagoseh, wife of fallen Liberian financial expert and Grand Cape Mounty County Former Senator Edward B. Dagoseh.
Madam Dagoseh, a staunch member of the governing Unity Party, was appointed by President Joseph Nyuma Boakai on Monday, November 4, 2024.
Prior to her nomination, Madam Dagoseh served as Assistant Minister for Administration at the Ministry of Gender, Children, and Social Protection (MoGCSP) during former President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf’s administration.
The appointment by the Liberian Chief Executive is subject to confirmation by the Liberian Senate.
If confirmed, she will succeed Madam Scholastica Tanneh Nyenkan-Nimley, who President Joseph Nyuma Boakai named to act as Minister following the resignation of then Commerce and Industry Minister Amin Modad on October 9, 2024.
