….for winning LRA tax awards
Kinjor–Several citizens of Cape Mount County have praised Bea Mountain Mining Compnay for winning the highest tax payer of the year, 2023 and second highest tax payer for 2022 respectively. They said, the awards show the company’s commitment to becoming tax compliant in the country.
Several of them told reporters last week in Cape Mount that they were excited for the company to win two awards.
For Mr. Erickson S. Parker, deputy youth chairman of Tawore district said: “I feel so good for them to win the awards from LRA. They are operating in my county. The resources in my county is helping Liberia and also making Bea Mountain to become number one tax payer. And all is from Cape mount. I feel so good about the

“This is a good news for us, in Cape Mount county. Over the past years, it has been won by Arcelor Mittal of Nimba County. But today, Bea Mountain has put our county name on the map,” Richealu Kandakai a resident of Tennie said.
“I feel that they will do their. For the young people of Taewor district , it is an opportunity.”
The company was awarded two prizes by the Liberia Revenue Authority(LRA) recently in Monrovia. At the ceremony, LRA Commissioner General, Mr. Dorbor Jallah praised the company and those who won various prizes.
Mr. Parker however called on citizens, especially the youth to discourage any form of protest.
“We want to discourage our people from going to protest. The last protest, it brought set back to the people. Few moths back, the protest brought setback. It took like six to seven months. We will talk with them and tell them that the issue of protest will not help us”

Mr. Abrahm Gborie, a resident, said: “I am very happy and impressed for that great award for them and the county at large. Bmmc is very important for Grand Cape Mount county, for the citizens and the county and youth. They are doing very well for the youth. If you have the opportunity to work for Bmmc, you can improve your life. If you are serious person, you will build your house and do other businesses.”
