GOL prepares to receive Ethiopian Airline back

 After about 14 years, Ethiopian Airlines resumes flights to Liberia, beginning November 30, 2024.

Monrovia, Liberia, November 13, 2024—The Government of Liberia says it is preparing to receive Ethiopian Airlines’ weekly flights back into the country.

Starting November 30, 2024, Ethiopian Airlines, Africa’s largest carrier, will resume three weekly flights to Liberia, strengthening a vital air link that will boost connectivity across West Africa and support the region’s economic growth.

After the launch, flight ET933 will depart from Addis Ababa every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:30 AM, arriving in Monrovia at 1:50 PM. Conversely, flight ET932 will depart from Monrovia every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday at 10:20 AM, arriving in Addis Ababa at 8:40 PM.

According to the airline’s official website, the airline will deploy an ultra-modern aircraft on the route, designed to accommodate both business and leisure travelers and ensure seamless connections to its extensive global network.

Information Minister Jerolinmek M. Piah revealed that all government officials are preparing for the welcome on November 30, President Joseph Boakai’s birth anniversary.

According to him, the President views this as a transformative development that will significantly enhance travel to and from Liberia.

He says this program will boost the tourism sector, attracting more visitors to the country to explore its cultural heritage and beautiful landscape.

“We are proud of this development as a government, and we are excited to welcome Ethiopian Airlines to Liberia. We are committed to sustaining their confidence in our country.” The airline is reportedly resuming flights here after 14 years. Editing by Jonathan Browne
