An Incredible story surfacing across Nimba said a hunter has killed a giant size opossum with six legs, two anuses and and two female genital organs.
According to information reaching the Daily Observer Nimba Bureau, the hunter from the town called Duo-Goton, near Sanniquellie, went on his normal hunting routine and killed this creature, only to notice that the animal had six legs, two anuses and and two female genitals,
Residents of the town rushed to take a look at the creature, with nearly everybody describing it as an opossum, but nobody, including the hunter, was brave enough to consume it as food because of its appearance.
Because of the incredible and strange looking appearance of the animal in the hunting history of Nimba, everybody rejected the meat and at last it was turned to the College of Science and Natural Resources of Nimba University for further study, the Public Relations Officer of the University told the Daily Observer.
“The opossum was brought to the University on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 and it is now placed in the laboratory for study,’ he said.
“The animal is so strange and appears fearful,” said one of the female science students.
According to scientists, the basic mammalian body type is quadrupedal, with most mammals using four limbs for terrestrial locomotion, but in some, the limbs are adapted for life at sea, in the air, in trees or underground.
However, the Dean of the college, Sam Konah Jr. confirmed the animal appears to be an opossum, but not a mouse and it is now preserved in the University Lab for study.
“The students are curious to know what led to the genital disorder, so it is preserved in the lab for further study,” he said.
