A mysterious and tragic event has unfolded at cavalla River in Klibo, River Gee County. The community is reeling from the shocking death of Emmanuel Kala Weah, who reportedly died while escorting a lady named Lucy Kopeh to the cavalla River to sell her meat.
According to reports, Emmanuel Kala Weah and Lucy Kopeh were on their way to the cavalla River to market their products when they encountered Lawrence G. Billy, who was also heading to the river to sell his plantains on the island. Upon their arrival at the river, they found that the canoe needed to cross to the other side was not available.
Lucy Kopeh explained that Lawrence asked Emmanuel to accompany him up the river to retrieve the canoe. When they reached the spot where the canoe was located, Lawrence instructed Emmanuel to stay on the riverbank while he swam across to get the canoe. It was during this time that the tragic event unfolded.
Lawrence recounted that as he was swimming across the river, he saw Emmanuel jump into the water but realized that he couldn’t swim. Despite his efforts to rescue Emmanuel, it was difficult to save him, and he tragically passed away before his body could be recovered.
Following the incident, the Liberia national police and the community instituted a 15-men jury to examine the body of Emmanuel Kala Weah. The jury reportedly found marks on his body, including a broken neck, raising further questions about the circumstances surrounding his death.
Lucy Kopeh and Lawrence Billy are currently undergoing a police investigation as the community mourns the loss of Emmanuel Kala Weah. Many are seeking answers and justice for the tragic event that took place at cavalla River, leaving the community in shock and disbelief.
The residents are hoping for a thorough investigation to shed light on the mysterious circumstances surrounding Emmanuel’s untimely death.
