Paynesville – In an effort to encourage saving in Liberia, the Bank Africa Liberia Limited has successfully held its fifth “Aye Waste” Promo raffle draw at its Red Light Market Branch.

The event took place on Saturday in the presence of officials of the National Lottery Authority (NLA).

Launched in September 2024, the “Aye Waste” Promo aims to motivate individuals to cultivate the habit of saving.

The raffle in Red Light marks the fifth in the series, following successful draws on Ashmun Street in Monrovia, Old Road, and Buchanan in Grand Bassa County.

Customers were required to deposit an initial amount of 20,000 Liberian Dollars to qualify, with additional increments of 20,000 Liberian Dollars increasing their chances.

The raffle draw was conducted under strict supervision by National Lottery Authority officials to ensure transparency and fairness. A spinning wheel was used to select winners randomly, and audience participation added excitement to the event.

Individuals from the crowd were invited to select tickets, ensuring impartiality. Names were announced, and unclaimed tickets were discarded after three calls, maintaining the momentum of the draw.

Winners of the day walked away with amazing prizes. Dixon Doe Daniel emerged as the first winner, taking home a customized Bloom Bank motorbike.

Abraham Daysee claimed the second prize, a Hisense standing freezer, while Ojuku Solomon Davis became the third lucky winner with a rice cooker.

Speaking at the event, a Bloom Bank representative reiterated the institution’s dedication to providing top-notch financial services.

“We believe in building strong relationships with our customers by not just holding their money, but also rewarding their trust and encouraging them to save,” the official stated.

The initiative has received widespread praise for promoting financial literacy and providing tangible incentives for saving. Many attendees expressed their appreciation for the raffle, describing it as a unique way to reward customer loyalty while giving participants an opportunity to win life-enhancing items.

The event was not just about the prizes but also about fostering community engagement. Customers, residents, and business owners in the bustling Red Light area were thrilled by the raffle’s energy and spirit of camaraderie. Several attendees remarked on how the promotion has positively impacted their savings habits.

“Events like these make saving fun and rewarding,” said Janet Kollie, a customer. “It motivates me to save more, knowing that I could be among the winners next time.”

As the promo gains traction, Bloom Bank Africa Liberia has assured its customers that this is just the beginning of its efforts to incentivize savings. Plans for future promotions and draws across other regions are already in motion, with even more enticing rewards in store.

The bank has positioned itself as a leader in innovative banking services and customer engagement strategies.

The success of the “Aye Waste” Promo reflects its ability to balance financial services with customer satisfaction, setting a benchmark for the banking industry in Liberia.
