Monrovia-Newly promoted LFA second division outfit Down Town FC have extended their unbeaten record in the ongoing LFA second division league to ten games.

The City Boys on Wednesday secured a comfortable 4-1 win over Jubilee FC in continuation of the LFA second division League.
McClain A. Smith scored a brace while Samuel Wilson and Joseph Toe were on the scoresheet for Downtown FC as they demolished Jubilee FC at the Doris Williams Sport Stadium in Buchanan City, Grand Bassa County.
Down FC have now moved second on the log with 22 points from 10 games, three points adrift of Wologizi FC, who are at the top of the table.
Coach Mara Walker of Downtown FC attributed his team’s 4-1 win over Jubilee FC to his players’ ability to make use of their chances. “I’m calling on my players to be focused because it has helped us maintain our unbeaten record in the league,” coach Walker said.
The Down Town FC coach also called on his players to intensify their training because it will improve their skills and keep them physically fit for their league games.
“I’m urging my players to intensify both their group training and their individual training because training as a whole is one of the most important parts of sports, especially football, because it helps to strengthen them physically and mentally.” Walker stressed.
Coach Walker, is therefore, calling on his players not to leave any stone untouched as they face Junior Pro on Sunday November 24, 2024 at the Tusa Sports Stadium in Gardnerville, Montserrado County.
