In a statement issued by the party’s National Executive Committee on Tuesday, January 7, MOVEE acknowledged the extraordinary contributions of President Carter, who transcended the pinnacle of political power to pursue a far-reaching humanitarian mission.
“Former President Carter will be remembered for his invaluable efforts toward the eradication of Guinea worm in Africa, his role in resolving conflicts, his unwavering support for free and fair elections worldwide, and his commitment to housing the homeless,” the statement read.
